Neil – Steve Nash Fitness World Success Story

Neil’s Story:
Neil had been overweight most of his life. At his heaviest, he was more than 330 lbs., barely fitting in to size 54 jeans and XXXL shirts. In August 2008, he was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, which he chose to ignore at the time and let his condition worsen.

It took multiple insulin injections, numerous daily prescriptions, and the harsh reality of the effects of diabetes for Neil to reach a turning point.

In February 2013, Neil joined Steve Nash Fitness World on Cambie. Knowing he wouldn’t be able to reach his fitness goals alone, he hired a personal trainer. Jonathan, his trainer, designed a nutrition and workout plan specifically for him. His plan is dynamic and challenging, and never leaves him bored. Most importantly, he consistently sees results week after week, which drives his motivation. The staff at Cambie is extremely friendly and helpful with keeping him on track towards achieving his goals. Before, Neil tried to fit the gym into his schedule. Now, everything in Neil’s life is scheduled around the gym.

Currently at 215 lbs. and size 34 waist, Neil no longer takes any medication. He no longer uses a ventilator to cope with sleep apnea. His health is his main focus and he’s learned so much about fitness. He is the fittest he has ever been in his entire life, and we’re so happy that Jonathan and the staff at Cambie are able to be a part of his fitness journey!
