Clean Eating vs Crash Diets

We’ve all heard the term before, but do we really know what its definition?  “Clean Eating” generally refers to eating healthy foods that are conducive to fitness, health, and weight control.  That’s not the controversial part.  TheCleanEating 1 problem is deciding which foods, precisely, qualify as “healthy” and “conducive to fitness and weight control.”  While the jury is still out on some foods, the real answers are a bit surprising in the main.

There is no shortage of crash diets that work.  However, most of them only work for a short period of time, until the dieter grows weary of eating the same foods over and over again, and falls off the dietary wagon.  Consequently, the problem isn’t finding a dietary prescription that will help you remove unwanted fat pounds.  The problem is finding a clean eating solution that fosters muscle health, reduces body fat, provides enough nutrition, and – most importantly – tastes good enough to be sustainable over a long period of time.

So clean eating that tastes good has long been the holy grail of dieting.  After all, it may be the healthiest thing on the planet to put into your body, but if it evokes the gag reflex every time you put it in your mouth, you probably won’t be reaping the miracle food’s benefits for long.

You’ll be relieved to know that all credible signs point to a delicious clean eating regimen.  Fat, it turns out, is actually healthy for you.  Most of us used to think that since our bodies stored extra fat, we became fat by eating too much fat.  It’s beautifully symmetrical, but completely false.  Our bodies store energy in the form of fat, which means that fat is an extremely useful energy source for our metabolism.  Biochemists have shown that it’s the excess sugar and processed carbohydrates in our diet that cause the epidemic fat storage problem society has today.

What’s the solution?  It’s easy.  Eat meats, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and fruits.  Avoid breads, starches and sugars.  It’s that simple!
